Hiljainen Beatle

Hiljaiseksi Beatleksi kutsuttu George Harrison täyttäisi tänään 73 vuotta. On totta, että George ja Ringo jäivät yhtyeen näkyvimpien hahmojen Johnin ja Paulin taustalle. Kuitenkin viimeistään yhtyeen hajottua paljastui, että myös George osaa säveltää. George oli erittäin kiinnostunut henkisestä kasvusta ja hyväntekeväisyys oli lähellä hänen sydäntään. Vuonna 1971 George järjesti hyväntekeväisyyskonsertin Bangladeshin pakolaisten hyväksi. Hieno mies oli George.

Helmi Mumbaista 40 vuoden takaa

Tämän mestariteoksen levytyksestä tuli tänä vuonna täyttyneeksi pyöreät 40 vuotta. Kappale oli ensimmäinen Harrisonin teos, joka otettiin mukaan Beatlesin singlelle. A-puolella Lady Madonna ja B-puolella Inner Light. Biisi levytettiin osin Mumbaissa ja osin Lontoossa. Mukana intialaisia muusikkoja ja saundi sen mukainen. Hieno biisi!
